Having fled her herd lands after the death of her first child, she was found in the Field by Scorch and convinced to come to the Jungle to heal. Though she began to be able to function and agreed to join the Jungle, she was still not whole. Only during a strange event in which she encountered some faeries did she gain her golden wings of light, a remnant of her deceased daughter, did she begin to truly heal. Though Kavi was the first stallion she grew close to, Pomona's first Beqannan child was sired by Elezaar. War broke out shortly after the birth of her daughter, Penny Pinch, and she fled to the outskirts of the Jungle to raise her child in peace. After a couple of years she returned. Rekindling her place in the Jungle, she also rekindled her feelings for Kavi. Together they produced a son, Bergamot.
