RE: you must learn to join the dance - lilliana - 04-07-2021

This conversation certainly hadn't gone according to her plans but as the chestnut smiles up at the Freyr, Lilliana finds that she doesn't mind. All her plans aside, this meeting with Leilan had gone better than she had dared hope for.

But @[Leilan] has his mind just as she has her opinions and the pair go-between themselves about the future leadership of Taiga; there is still time, she thinks. There is plenty of time because she isn't going anywhere. There is only a shadow of a frown when the scaled roan speaks again. "No," Lilliana says. But sometimes leading isn't a choice. She had only stepped into it because the Redwoods ran out of rulers; even Izora Lethia had vanished after a time. Leading wasn't a choice given to her mother. And it hadn't been a choice given her sire, the only living son of his father, Ichiro. "Maybe not but the future always has a way of surprising us, doesn't it?" Lilliana asks rhetorically to the stallion walking alongside her.

There is something in her playful blue eyes that says the future isn't the only thing that surprises her; Leilan is quite capable of that as well.
Her steps become lighter when he tugs at her mane and Lilliana gives her head a small toss, side-stepping from him. "It would seem my manners have got a head start then," she says with a laugh and her gaze fills with a sort of impish light, despite the darkness surrounding them. She throws a smile back at him over her slender shoulder, like she doubted that he could catch that, let alone keep up with her.

Not the Windwalker's daughter.

"No promises!" Lilliana calls out and then in one sweeping motion, she vanishes into the Taigan forest.
