Though I've tried, I've fallen... I've sunk so low. - Reagan - 09-06-2016

Reagan was at the top of the mountain with her newfound friends—creatures who, like her, sought a home, and a place of protection. She had found new meaning to life, and here among the cracked rock and stony face of ice and snow, she found that she was herself again. Her magic gave her the ability to breath better than others perhaps could. Where before she would have taken it for granted, now it was a marked difference in her approach to how she did things.

Such blood was a gift and should never be taken or used lightly, and so as she moved away from Romek and his family, she bowed down, counted her rosary beads, and began to pray for the blessing from God, the Mother Mary, and the Fairies that be, to see if she had as yet earned her right to be placed back among the stars.

<b>“My dear Goddesses, Fairies, and friends:

My hubris has forsaken me. My powers have forsaken me. My own heritage is gone and thrown asunder and I am lost without the gift that you have bestowed upon me. I am sorry for my reckless abandon, and regret any actions of misuse of my gifts for the betterment of myself. Magic without limit is never to be granted or gifted lightly. It was given to me, and I have treated it like it is something that is solely mine. You have allowed it to shape my identity and the way I see the world; for this I am grateful. And to show how grateful I am, I submit my petition to have my blood restored to be as it was—and by your grace, I shall never seek to misuse my powers again. “</b>

Reagan nodded her head, quiet, still on her knees, waiting for whatever judgment the fairies might have in store for her.

RE: Though I've tried, I've fallen... I've sunk so low. - Beqanna Fairy - 09-06-2016

She is not the first, but she is quick. It makes Beqanna wonder. A magician that lays quiet so long, but when the power is stripped, she does not know how to remain content. <b> "It would do you well to learn who you are without your magic, dear Reagan. Your magic does not define you, because it never was nor ever will be yours to keep."</b> She keeps reminding them, because it does not seem like enough.

Their words are pretty, but she also looks into their hearts. For now, the motives seem mostly pure, but there is still greed there. There is an inability to exist without the traits she has given them. What if she simply never gave it back? Once, this land did not run rampant with magic. Once, horses lived as they should, wearing colors that they should.

But they do not remember those days. She almost doesn't give the magic back. Almost. But she is kind, even if they do not believe that. <b> "Remember this lesson. Next time, I will not be so forgiving."</b>
