They meet in the woods: a king and a genie.
Words pass between them, smiles, a bark of surprised laughter.
The king asks something of the genie and she complies, as genies do.
His wish granted, the genie takes her payment in the form of her own pleasure.
Kreios, stuck permanently in the form of a tawny wildcat, yowls his non-verbal frustration at the bejeweled Djinni as the grey mare continues through the autumnal woods of Sylva. There is a smile on her face as she goes, and the clink of the bracelets at her hooves have never been a more lovely sound.
