“goodnight moon” | {sreva} - Chemdog - 06-15-2017

At first he lets her lead. He comfortably lolls behind her, no doubtedly staring at her beautiful backside saunter along the wooded path. The dark stallion bucks and jets ahead playfully, a small burst of a gallop and then he slows again falling behind once more. His lips affectionately brush her hip as he passes and pulls in front. The river guides them at first but Chemdog insists they step off of the River’s bank and move inland just a little. He’s passed through here before…these are the borders of Taiga, just a mile or so ahead. He knows enough to stay off of Taigan land uninvited – but there are curiosities and wonder in these shadows. He jogs off the path and into the  thick forest, turning over his speckled back to smile deviously to his travel companion. “Wait here my dove, I’ll be right back..” His body fades into the shadows and he is completely gone. Bushes spread and leaf-litter shifts under his weight. Even when camouflaged by magic he cannot hide his size. He creeps as quietly as he can manage, looking for danger or Kingdom patrols.

He returns and lands his coal black lips against hers. His breath is hot from travel, his blood flowing warm, heart pounding away tirelessly within his chest. He nibbles her unshyly for a moment, kissing his muzzle to hers, licking at her mouth when given the chance. He cannot help himself, she lures him – loins first. His tail whips and he growls in jest, chuckling to himself. “You distract me.” He leads the way. “Coast is clear – come see these ancient beasts of trees.” He leads her into the mysterious forest and behemoth trees of red-bark and mammoth cones rise in front of them as they go deeper. The ground is soft with moss and needles; pine smell is thick on the foggy air. He wonders if she’s ever seen this before, is she as bewildered and amazed he was when he stumbled upon this place? Did she enjoy discovering these relic sentinels guarding the forests edge? Into Taiga the forest thickens, but on the edge between the Forest and the Kingdom there are only a few rogue sequoias standing vigil; free for the wanderers to revel at. Still he keeps an eye out for someone apt to jabber at them.

RE: “goodnight moon” | {sreva} - Sreva - 06-15-2017

Sreva could be a hoof full at times, but it was clear today that Chemdog had enough excitement for the both of them. The two horses, after leaving Neoma at the river when Chemdog introduced himself to her, departed and headed off towards the Forest, following the breeze as they went. Chemdog was behind Sreva for the most part, but on occasion, the stallion would buck and skirt ahead of the mare, throwing his head up in joy before returning to Sreva's side.

The mare felt the stallion's lips against the joint of her hip, leaving a slight tingly sensation. Hiding her blush, the mare kicked up her own hind legs and sprinted ahead of him a couple of strides, enticing him to play.

This display carried on for some time until Chemdog suggested that they move away from the river and into the mainland more. Even though Sreva hadn't come this far along the river's banks, she knew what part of Beqanna this was. The Taiga kingdom supposedly wasn't far from here, the imposing redwoods stretching toward the sky enough that even from this distance Sreva could make out the outlines of the forest that lines its borders.

Chemdog, at one point, asked Sreva to wait there before disappearing into the shadows. For a moment, Sreva wondered would could have distracted him. Based on his goodbye, she didn't figure anything put the stallion on guard; he'd be much more edgy if that was the case. So, until he returned, Sreva busied herself with having a good roll and munching on the grass, satisfying the hunger that had been gnawing at her belly earlier.

A short time had passed when Chemdog returned. Sreva lifted her head, a gentle smile appearing on her lips. Lips that were currently the subject of Chemdog's affection, surprising the mare. Never before had he done something like this, even if he was a pretty touchy stallion. He continued to be overly touchy (not that she found herself minding) before giving the excuse of 'You distract me'.

Sreva just rolled her eyes at him before Chemdog asked her to follow and to see the large imposing trees with her own eyes. Willingly, she followed after him, finding herself eager to see them up close. As they walked on into the forest, through the trees, the footing changed from hardened earth and grass to the moss and needles that apparently this kingdom was known for, if Field gossip was anything to go by.

But Sreva wasn't concerned with that, the smell of pines filling her nostrils, or the slightly foggy air. Instead, part way on their journey, Sreva just found herself looking up. The mare could not believe she was seeing these trees up close for herself, and boy were they a sight. Sreva stared at the base of the trunk of one tree for a moment before her eyes traveled upward, her head tilting back so far to try and spot the top that she was almost afraid her neck would snap.

Though Chemdog might have been expecting a more excited or enthusiastic reaction, the only word that could come out of Sreva's mouth was a very impressed, "Whoa..." as she continued staring at the tops of the tall, very beautiful redwoods.

@[Chemdog] It's all right, I don't mind the waiting one bit.
