Sickness had spread through her line like a brushfire - fast and deadly. They laid there, waiting to pass. Mares, stallions, all of her line had mysteriously fallen prey to an illness they would not weather through for survival. They shared a knowing smile, and as they died those who were observant would see their forms all fade into the sand, as if they never existed.
(AKA due to my hiatus I have decided to kill all of my characters off so I can start anew.)
