Version 20 - Beqanna Fairy - 10-31-2018
Hi everyone, here is a link to a google doc where all the new updates to this version are explained. Some other new things...
Welcome to the new layout! There are some new features floating around, so bear with us as we work out the kinks.
User Groups
User groups are mandatory from this point forward. What does this mean? It means you need to have that cute little icon by your character's name in order to challenge/steal on behalf of a kingdom, be considered part of that kingdom, etc. See the guide here for how to do this. If you leave a land, you may find that the system doesn't let you switch - just post on Updates to have us switch for you if you run into any issues.
Additionally, if you have deceased characters, there's now a user group for deceased that works the same way as above. Please take a moment to update your character records accordingly.
OOC Chat
The "Connect" board is now under a category like our other OOC sections for consistency.
Mountain Petitions
You can now go petition the mountain for traits (up to a 2-space trait) without prior approval! Officers will roll a 6 sided die - if you get an even number, a fairy will show up and grant you a mini quest. Once you complete that mini-quest, return to the mountain and the fairy will roll another die. If the number is a 1 or a 6, the trait you requested will mutate. If the number is anything else, your quest was completely successful and you get the trait you asked for (officers/owners do have the right to tweak definitions of new traits to be consistent, however).
If you get an odd number at the original petition, your request will be denied and you may suffer (temporary) repercussions. You have to wait one month to petition again (per character).
You may only petition for one trait at a time, and you cannot go over the trait limits set in the rules. Any 3 or 4 space trait still requires approval from owners/officers.
Rules/Guide
We tried to separate the rules and guide as best we can to make it as user-friendly as not overwhelming as possible. This may or may not be better, but there it is, haha.
