    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

She’d watched him descend the entire way. How could she resist? Shifters have the best sight in Beqanna, a different and unique way of seeing the world. Breathtaking, being able to watch tree trunks bend and snap under your claws. To focus in on the prey and hunt with the wolves. And the difference between a predator and prey’s sight was phenomenal, literally mind-fucking blowing. Where he goes she rides with, like Eyas has ridden with so many other hosts throughout her lifetime.

“Hello big handsome.” Her voice cracked from misuse when she gave him the proper welcoming reception. “Miss me?” She cackled. Oooh she should probably watch her mouth, considering his last parting gift was still raked across her shoulders, but Eyas feels a bit… closer to Santana than she ever has before.

Instead of eating her immediately he pauses to mock her and she knows why. The same reasons he thinking of, even if he doesn’t say them out loud. He was a Dragon, not a dog or any regular horse. Tana respected nothing but his own abilities and here was a meal he’d graciously let go, returned to him and goading him out of hiding. He might have scaly hide and razor teeth but Eyas is just as malicious in her own special ways.

This time, she hopes he’ll give her an iota of the respect she deserved.

“Oh relax.” The bone-thin mare sighed, eyeing his creepy smile. She wasn’t even thick enough to be considered a whole morsel. “I’d like to speak to @[Santana], if he’s home?” The ragged little pegasus requested, searching the wide pools of his two differently-colored eyes.
