As Svedka reminds her that his secrets are his own, Solace gives a light laugh of agreement. When it came to love and lovers, his secrets were plentiful, but she felt no need to pry into his affairs. It had always been an unspoken understanding between them since their adolescence, an understanding she was content to uphold. But as moves to greet Kagerus, Solace's gaze returns to the white mare, and the reunion takes on a more serious air.
What Ilma has to say is concerning, and far different than what Solace had been expecting. The sounds of bird-song and gently moving water fade away and Solace nods as Ilma speaks, marveling at how lucky they were that Svedka the one to find her. She didn't want to think of the other possibilities.
Svedka's explanation fills in the gaps, but Solace's brow remains furrowed. "Tephra is a quiet, safe place for, for now," she agrees. But it was a fickle world they lived in, and Solace would not want to be stuck in Ilma's situation. "But there must be something else we can try if time alone does not seem to be enough."
And there was still the mystery of how Ilma lost her memories in the first place. But Solace doubts questioning her on the topic will be of any use. Ilma seemed to be just as confused as they were.
"Maybe a trip to the mountain would help... or, Kagerus," she turns to look back to her wife, "Do you think in the dreamscape you could find her old memories?" Solace's voice is unsure but hopeful. Both options had potential, but the choice would be Ilma's. The mountain was a dangerous place, and Kagerus had the scars to prove that. But Ilma's situation was one that may be worth the risk.
"Ilma we will help however you need us to."
