    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

There is no guilt rotting in a pile at the bottom of Lagertha’s chest. As she pieces together the puzzle of what happened when she was hit by Yael’s unraveling magic, she finds that the Amazons were quite able to soldier on without her - just as she’d expect them to do. Logic tells her that something out of the ordinary must have also happened to Lexa, because she can see no other reason for a Khaleesi who was liked to not return to lead their makeshift clan.

The girl is a survivor - strong and resourceful. Lagertha could worry, but why waste the energy? Instead, she does her best to make the rounds of the common areas, looking for other Sisters that she might know, or anyone else that smells like the Jungle. The crowds are heavy, but every now and then groups peel off to ‘petition’ Beqanna, or so it seems. In time, she will make her own journey up there. But until then, the former Queen does what she can at the base of the Mountain.

There are several faces she has yet to see: Riva, Draconis, Prague (she assumes the old magician is fine, not much could harm her), Odesza, Eila, Larken, Vidar, Rhy…  and Anguisette. Always Anguisette. Lagertha will never stop searching for Anguisette. With her last breath, she would ask about her missing daughter. Which is a tad bit ironic, because Lagertha looks much closer to Death than she did when anyone last saw her.

    [ @[Kristin] I'm sorry this isn't much of a starter post :/ ]
