    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

BETTER BEWARE, I GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT
DEVIL-MAY-CARE WITH A LUST FOR LIFE

Ygritte moves through her homeland. She loses herself within the tangles of ivy, the dapples of flitered sunlight. For sometime she had felt lost, useless without her plants. They had become her quiet friends, her refuge.

    But-

But when the fairies too k back the magic, hollowness crept in. No longer did the trees part for her. No longer did the flowers weave in her mane. No longer did they stretch to brush against her cheeks.

    The pain was horrific.

It only seems now, with the voice of Kreios, and the gentle tug of her nursing son did she manage to swim back to the surface of her depression. It seemed so long since the sun shown brightly, the air sweet with spring. And on this day, the salmon pointed woman moves with a smile playing on her lips. She had forgotten how much the Falls held her heart.

A pause in her movements only gives way to the mare looking skyward to gaze upon a ceaseless blue sky, the orange pink of her mane tumbling in a spill down the chestnut of her neck. She feels radiant in the warmth of the sun, redeemed. The long lashes of her eyes drift lazily downward as she smiles in her own quiet solitude, if only for briefly.

    Ygritte.
