    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Sylva remained as it had since her father and mother had established their home. It was vast and heavy with life, the trees seems to reach to the sky, daring it to crack open and rain down it's fury. The weight of the kingdom now rest on her young shoulders but Marlyn carried the burden willingly till the return of her parents. Thankfully, the land continued to thrive and grow more than it had in months.

The spotted mare had made changes. Yes, some were drastic and some were difficult but she had allowed the old member the opportunity to leave as she did not wish to be unfair in the infancy of her rule. So far, most remained and it made the young mare swell with happiness as she attempts to do her parents justice.

The sound of solid hooves carry through the forest easily. The echoes bounce between the dark, damp trunks and reach the blanketed form. Lobes are already working to absorb the sound and analyze who may be entering her home. Senses heighten and the mare prepares for whom ever sounded the call but as Mar approaches the silver form, she finds another woman before her. A sleek and eye catching silver bay with clear and curious eyes. Marlyn relaxes slightly and even allows the curl of a smile to soften her features. "Hello." Marlyn stands a bit off as to not crowd the other young mare. "Welcome to Sylva, I'm Marlyn." Introductions are always coarse and awkward in her mouth but they must start somewhere so what time is better than now? "Can I help you with something?"
