Points/Rank Info

In order to help make the whole process of ranking up simple, straight forward and as objective as possible, we are going to go with a point system. Since, as of now/drafting this, ranks are single-tracked (ie. no war/peace branches) everyone gets the same amount of points for doing the same tasks.

• Field visits - 1 point per post
  
• Successful recruiting * - 3 points
  
• Posts in Pangea - 1 point per post
  
• Attempted steals - 1 points 
  
• Succesful steals - 3 points (in addition to the 2 points above)
  
• Successful block of a steal - 1 point
  
• Initiating challenge - 1 points
  
• Mock or challenge battle posts - 2 points per post
  
• Kingdom visits (official) - 1 point per post
  

* - recruiting horses from the Meadow, or any other location (as long as it's done IC), will garner the same 3 points if successful

In addition to the above, the ruler (or sometimes an Architect) may ask Pangea members for favors or other tasks, the points for which will be decided when s/he asks (usually 2 or 3, depending on the nature of the "request", could be more). For example, the ruler might task an Adept with setting up intra-Kingdom mock battles and will get 3 points for following through with that. Or, for example... an assassination...

In order to advance, the following point totals must be met:

ENTRAIL TIER

The beginner ranks in Pangea. The Untried and Novices generally won't be trusted with many delicate tasks. They are the dirty, but necessary.

i. Untried - 0-5 points
ii. The Novitiate/Novices - 5-10 points


BONE TIER

The Bones are the support system. Apprentices and Adepts may be tasked with special work as befits their individual skill sets.

iii. Apprentices - 10-25
iv. Adepts - 25-40


BLOOD TIER

The Blood Tier is as high as you get without entering the Head of Pangea as an Architect or ruler. There is only one rank, that of the Masters.

In addition, individual Masters may be granted more specific titles by the King if they have earned them. For example, a character that has engaged in important and dangerous espionage work may be granted the title Spymaster Horsey. Or Horsey the Spymaster.. or Horsey the Spider, horsey can choose their 'title', or choose to reject it. This will be reflected on the Ranks board for some extra individuality, and to encourage (I hope) people to act on their horse's individual strengths.

v. Masters


THE ARCHITECTS

The Architects are at the Head of Pangea with the ruler. In theory, anyone can be an Architect and there can be as many of them as are worthy. This tier resembles the traditional Lady/Lord/etc. However, these positions may be granted to horses who either have a long history of service to Pangea or horses who, perhaps in a shorter period of time, do BIG things to help/'build' Pangea.

The Architect positions are not necessarily just honorary titles. Architects, by nature of their service or relationship to the ruler, have some sway over kingdom business, have the ear of the ruler, etc.
