[Krigare]

He seeks them out in the night, shadows concealing the bay stag as he moves through the heated land. Thick muscles flex beneath taut skin while he pushes himself through the Tephran fields. He passes quickly through the waters at the heart of the land, his own heart somewhere sleeping amongst heated earth. He walks for a few moments before coming to a stop near the base of Tephra's mightiest feature, the volcano.

The air around him is choked with ash, embers falling from the darkened sky like snow while he waits for them. A soft call is given, hopefully, loud enough for those in question to come forward. He had a few things on his mind. He wished to speak with the mysterious shadow of a ruler he had yet to meet in his two years of life in the volcanic land, and he wished to meet the head of the guard.

His mind had changed in his absence from his home. He had let down the one thing he had grown to care for, and he refused to let that happen again. With every particle in his marrow, he wanted to protect what home he had known. The desire had become even stronger when Taiga had fallen and its bloodthirsty subjugates had taken over Sylva. There had been no mercy in the takeover, his own child had been disfigured in the chaos.... Who knew what the madman had in mind for the island Krigare called home.

So here he awaited those he had peacefully called upon, his body rigid, and mind wandering.
