Down bythe sea
Ravenwing grazed on the grass contentedly, finding she very much liked the grass that grew in Nerine. Being so close to the ocean, she would've expected the grass to be wilted and flavorless, killed by the salt content of the water, but surprisingly it was very full and lush. It had a taste to it she'd never known before, when all she'd known was dry grasses.
Soon, there were little flickers of light as lightning bugs came back to life, returning from wherever they went during the day. The sun was going down, and the crickets grew quiet, returning to wherever they went during the night time. Feeling the stallion's eyes on her, the mare looked up long enough to see him looking her over, before going back to grazing on the lush grass. She felt as though she'd never get used to it, no matter how long she lived in Nerine.
The dark mare met the stallions eyes as he spoke, offering him a soft smile. "Thank you. I was a long journey, but definitely well worth it."
