    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    #3
Droplets of water drop down from his blue lips. They form circles upon hitting the water’s surface, making the smooth surface wrinkle and disrupt his reflection. Nuage barely notices it. His eyes are focussed on the source of light coming from his own forehead; everything else gets blurred away. The sight makes him think of the sky, with in its center sun, and the foam caused by the river make the clouds.

He is so lost in thought that he never notices the dark bay stallion approaching, not until he is standing a couple of meters away. Slowly he lifts his head, to glance at the other male, yet not daring to fully meet his gaze. It is too intense, and enough to make Nuage shudder. He glances away, flustered and unsure of what to do.

The dark stranger makes the decision for him. A soft gasp leaves his lips at the first contact between them, and under the light touch he shudders once again. Oh shit. His muscles instantly tense in anticipation, sky blue tail pressed tightly between his buttocks. Unable to help – or control – it he starts to fade, turning invisible for a short second shyly wanting to disappear from view. Like that Nuage flickers in and from sight a couple of times, his back solid underneath the stranger’s touch. On instinct he ghosts after the touch, curving his back and leaning to the left where the other stallion is standing. The nip effectively pulls Nuage back to earth with a startled gasp, followed by a shaky exhale.

His first reaction is to lean in closer, pressing himself up against the dark bay in order to replace the lost touch. Then, realising what he is doing, he is soon to quickly take a few steps sideways, turning his front to the stranger rather than his side. Even though the touch still lingers on his withers and hip.

Slowly, his eyes lift from where he had been staring at the water – without really looking at it – to meet the stranger’s gaze. The words make the blood rush to his cheeks, and other parts of his body, and flustered like that Nuage meets the stranger’s heated blue gaze. The blue of his eyes glows, trapping Nuage’s gaze with them. Unable to look away he stares up at the taller stranger, swallowing the sudden dry lump in his throat. ”Hi..” he murmurs, then glances away, his gaze finally being released from the intense gaze.
