    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Apparently, the meadow is the place these days.

She finds herself wandering Beqanna again, of course - she'd never found out who her parents were, but by now she doesn't even care. Her viridian hue is different from most other horses, not to mention the pink that lies scattered through her mane. You'd think that someone might recognize such colours, but perhaps her parents are dead, and if they are she never will find them.

Giving up can make one bitter - cynical, even. She finds she cares less than ever, and if she were to be immortal, then she would come to care even less about those who fade and die. Such is the cycle of life and if one cannot cope, then they can outright go and kill themself - not like she gives a shit.

In short, her soul is broken too - covered in scar tissue so think she is at the moment not capable of letting anyone in. Her blue eyes scan the field, finding matching ones doing the same, a normal but slightly unusual colour to the red and white stallion. Perhaps that's just what she needs - her opposite.

She continues to stare at him rudely without greeting or approaching - so what if he doesn't like that she does?
