    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The stallion's voice surprised Nalia when he called to her, telling her to come down and not be so shy. The filly started while she was still hovering over the pool, her wings carrying her a bit higher since she couldn't see where the stallion was below her. Her anxious eyes looked around to see if they could spot any sort of significant detail, but nothing turned up, and Nalia wondered what she should do.

Should she take a chance to greet this stallion even if he decided to turn against her? Or should she turn tail and run to keep herself safe? For some reason, the stallion's voice, while deep and intimidating, didn't really frighten her, so she decided to stick around, if only to see who this mysterious horse was.

Beating her wings a few more times to clear the mist, the filly touched down by the edge of the steam pools, unknowingly just a few feet away from him. She didn't notice such a fact until the mist cleared some more, finding her gaze to be directed more at his neck and chest since he was taller than her.

Nalia's eyes drifted up to look at the stallion's face, and she was quick to notice that he was a rather impressive and handsome creature. His black coat fit well over his body, his skin stretched over the layers of muscles than ran beneath. Nalia suddenly felt very small compared to him, with her smaller, more compact frame, but hidden strength lay in the muscles she possessed, her quick mind, and the powerful wings she had attached to her back.

Tucking the appendages in just to avoid something if the stallion tried to attack her, she put on a friendly smile, tilting her head just a little to seem innocent, "Hi there. I'm Nalia. Did you come up here to enjoy the steam baths too?"
