Just as she bloomed into a pretty young woman, he blossomed into a handsome young man. In the consistent stability of his Hyaline home, the prince has found plenty of opportunity to grow and learn (though some might call his learning rather foolish and lovestruck). But aside from his childish dabbling in the realm of romance, he's been finding other ways to occupy himself, too - visiting the field and partaking in social events, clambering about with his siblings and gobbling up every teaching that mothers have to give.

In spite of these busy proceedings, he always finds time to sneak away and visit Dawny.

Ever since their first monumental meeting in the playgound nearly two years ago (incidentally, also when he met Clayton, a boyfriend of Will's), the two have remained fast friends. So fast in fact that Rhae has never thought of the polar-bear shifter the way he thinks of Ivy or Kensa or Chryseis (or others) - no, with Dawny, his sole focus is on how perfectly himself he can be with her. Because of the young age she found him in, the prince has grown up with a trust in the girl so profound that the two can speak freely with one another.

The boy smells her before he hears her call - and he's racing around the bend of the mountain's base just as she sings his nickname. A triumphant whinny slips delicately from Rhae's grinning lips as his best friend comes into sight. It's like a dream come true! He'd told her practically everything there was to know about Hyaline twice, but seeing her materialized on the lake's edge makes that almost meaningless. He wants to show her EVERYTHING!

Barely pulling up in time, the pegasus throws open his wings in such a way that his forelegs come off the earth, reaching eagerly to encircle Dawny's shoulders as he twists his neck to grab a mouthful of her ear and mane for no other reason than because he loves her. Too giddy to stay in such a precarious position for long, the buckskin boy dislodges himself from her just to bump into her with his chest again, totally and absolutely unable to contain himself. His BEST FRIEND is here!

"Dawny, Dawny, Dawny, you're finally here!" He pauses with an air of melodrama that only a mute could muster, staring at her gravely, mouth partially opened to emphasize the importance of what he is about to say. "Are you.... staying? Please tell me you're staying! I have SO much to show you!"
