the firestarters always get the burns
and the good guys never get the girl
The trek back from the adoption den is delightful to the white mare - honestly, it's good to have found a child there and know he's destined to be under her care. He is a little light in her world today, when the rest seems dark and grim with the plague - new life where all hope got lost.
It is with this thought and, with the happiness of not having to leave the den on her own (simply because that's always a bit of a strain on her, not being there on time), that she enters the Silver Cove. Passing Hyaline is hard, but she cannot and will not attempt to raise such a small child in a land that might make them sick. So the Cove it is, for now.
But when she gets there, as if placed there randomly from above, a filly is found. A prettily-coloured one, too - a little brighter than Finch, but not by much. "Oh! See that, Finch? Let's go say hello." And so she nears the purple-maned girl also, stopping a few inches away from her. Hopefully she won't get too frightened. "Who are you, dear? Where's your mother?" she asks her.
@[Finch] @[Kleopatra] if you guys don't mind, I'm going to combine these things. Yay siblings!
