    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

one day it's here and then it's gone,
how are you still holding on?
Titus mostly spends his time alone, contemplating the newness of his position as the War Lord. Occasionally he goes where he is needed thought it isn’t quite a lot. He isn’t sure how to do this whole new higher-up position right now. Not exactly when everyone was confined into the safety havens and keeping out of the areas of the plague.

The lull within Beqanna and the peaceful land of Pampas, as the plague seeps and sows what it can on the outside, makes him think of venturing outwards. Part of him wants to hunt. Did he even remember how to hunt? Titus tried it a couple of times with the small creatures that flock here and there within the kingdom, but sometimes he didn’t quite get it right. It wasn’t like the way his lioness friend had done it. She had showed him a couple ways, but it was never the perfect way she had done it.

He snorts softly, pushing the thought of hunting away. It never did any good to dwell too much on things, especially with everything that put him on edge. He couldn’t quite get over what might be happening to his friends outside of Pampas with the plague. So, he turns to focus on something else—anything would be better.

Out of the blue—literally out of the blue!—comes a familiar face. Is it even possible? He thinks without a second. His thoughts always popping up like that without a warning. A grin is wide across her canine-shaped face. She comes to him as if she never has missed seeing him a day, except her words give a different story.

“How could I forget you,” he greets back, rolling his eyes with a more dramatic flair than would be necessary to make it clear of his sarcasm. It’s been a long time since he has seen the blue filly. Well, she wasn’t exactly a filly anymore but fully grown just as he was. “Has it really been that long?” He asks speaking his thought out loud. It’s hard to imagine it has been.
