    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Vadar

Seven characteristics are in an uncultivated person, and seven in a learned one

“Sandy.” Vadar grunts, partially amused. Pangea was probably the armpit of Beqanna, overcast and angry-looking. Like one giant scar across an otherwise healthy face. There was little to eat and even less to drink unless you knew where to find it, but it occurs to him that maybe Icicle Isle is similar to Pangea in that way. Both harsh, unforgiving environments where only a few horses can stand to make a life. “But it has its charms.” He adds in afterthought, turning back to watch the creature make its way to them.

The golem seems so small and lifelike, but to Vadar it’s more of a pet. His white lips tilt, smirking, at the vibrations that begin to shake his legs. Aziz was welcome to call on his earthly powers and test them against Vadar’s. These sort of interactions were exactly the type of encounters he’d been looking for when traveling abroad anyways.

It was fascinating to watch his own little creature entrapped, so much so he hardly moves when a wall sprouts up for cover. He’d rather get a good view, take a step nearer to the earthen shield rather than backwards. “Infused with stone… ” Vadar murmurs, and his dimly glowing eyes begin to brighten. Inside of him there is a well of untapped energy. A cauldron, if he could describe it. The source of his power is something he’s only begun to channel with practice and, like Aziz, he’s not sure if the little stone servant will be able to best the dome. A low pounding gongs from inside; he can almost picture the rock fists as they slam into Aziz’s cage.

“He’s trying.” Vadar laughs deeply, noticing his skin starting to dampen with sweat. “Oh!- there, take a look.” He cranes his neck, narrowing the line of his illuminated gaze to see a hairline of webbing begin to crack on the dome. “He’s probably not big enough. But I wonder - I wonder if… ”

    Now his eyelids close shut.
He visualizes the creature inside of his own mind and does something a bit unorthodox. There’s material on the inside broken off by the golem’s grinding fists, a bit of earth on that dome. Vadar calls to it, whispers the word of power to take material from Aziz’s own formation and add it to his pet so that it would grow. “Aye. There.” He seems pleased, looking out again to watch a much larger, much more distinct fist burst through in a shower of pebble and dust.

“Shit this is fun.” The black laughs again, glancing aside at Aziz, “Could you feel that?” He wonders, curious about taking the dome material. "I'm not tired yet, either. Hell; I wonder what we could create together." Vadar whistles. "Want to go again?"

    Info/Ref

@[Aziz] made it more so that the golem wasn't reacting to Vadar, just wanting to get to him and out of the rock/earth shell. Hope this is better!
