    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

    "But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    personal quest part two;
    #2
    Another stranger traversing Taiga's lands? Why was it that whenever his friend went out in search of those that needed a home, he never found them, but they always seemed to come here and then disappear like shadows in the sunlight? The falcon had been observing this mare from the moment she entered Taiga's land, for Aten himself was in one of the far meadows resting after a recent journey.

    Turul decided he would investigate this himself, and then warn his friend if necessary. For now, he would see what this other horse wanted. The horse didn't seem to be meaning any harm, searching for something more like, but the falcon couldn't tell just yet. Turul followed the horse further into Taiga's woods, seeing how she observed each of the trees like she wanted to find a particular one. The majority of the trees here seemed to be the same, save for a select few that both Turul and the king knew.

    Was it possible this horse was searching for one of them?

    Some time passed until it seemed the horse struck gold. Focusing on a tree nestled among some that stood straight and tall, the tree in the middle was twisted in an odd fashion, like an earthquake had rocked it's foundation and caused it's unusual growth. The horse, observing the tree a moment, reared up on it's hind legs and reached for something, the object in question tumbling to the ground by the horse's hooves.

    Turul cocked his head, very intrigued by what the horse had found, having never seen anything like this. The horse gathered the object in a fashion Turul hadn't seen before either before starting to walk off in the direction of the beach, leaving the falcon with many more questions.

    What was it the horse had discovered? Why was it here? Just for the object? Did the object the horse found mean potential harm to Taiga if used against it?

    The falcon, deciding to not let this go, flew down from his perch and several feet in front of the horse, perching on a low branch so that he could easily be seen. His beady eyes locked on the horse heading in his direction, the falcon wishing he could communicate like he did with Aten but knowing he couldn't.  Instead, he resorted to sitting there, watching the horse like a predator, in the hopes that the horse would stop and wonder what Turul wanted.

    OOC: So even though Aten, my character, was mentioned, I wanted to try something new. Turul can't talk to Starsin obviously, but I wanted to see what would happen if you decide to have her interact with him.
