    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Rajanish
The filly is obedient - as all foals their age should, he thinks. Still so moldable; she’ll learn quickly he thinks. He lingers, but doesn’t pay too much attention to her while she nurses, or when her mother nestles her so she’ll sleep. It’s when Nica asks him what lessons he’ll teach her and when, that he flicks an ear her way.

He crosses their short distance and snaps his tail at his hocks, then shrugs at her. ”Anatomy, I think.” After all, that had been his own first lesson - picking apart smaller creatures to find the similarities and differences, to understand the anatomy of a horse, later. Diseases would follow later; they had time enough. With the ghost-winged boy from last season, he hadn’t intervened, which had sickened his mother terribly - not that Raj really minded. But perhaps Soulless could learn more precision with the trait, if she knew what to look for.
No cost too great. No mind to think. No will to break.
No voice to cry out suffering.

@[Soulless] so, he died, but this thread is pre-death quest (: You may assume he taught her to ‘hunt’ small creatures and pick them apart if you like; we can do a new thread later if you want but he’ll be limited to visiting in ghost form/one thread per BQ year, so I might just make an open thread in Pangea where he lurks and see who answers it and she’ll be free to join in ^^
