    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

It had been peaceful as of late amongst Taiga, a feeling that had been come and go since the change of leadership a few years ago. Of course nothing had really ever been settled since the arrival of the pegasus leaders but Lethy had found her place among the red woods before they came and had been adamant about keeping that place.

Lepis had been her friend long before now, the arrival of her had been a small hill in her loyalties to Aten and Taiga but she had done well to please both she had thought.

Wolfbane, on the other hand, she had not had the "pleasure" of socializing with. She would be lying if she said she hadn't purposely kept distance between her and the blue and gold leader. She had not been a fan since she had laid eyes on him, standing on his pedestal to address their land.

She had found him obtrusive and threatening, and her distance had done her well over the years.

It had been a relief when spring had shown its glorious hands upon Beqanna. The brown slush of winter had withered away leaving an abundance of green foliage in its wake. She had taken advantage of the quiet, cool day sending the children off to play nearby as she helped herself to a pleasant feast below her.

She had dipped her head to gather another mouthful, but before she could gather any more she pulled up suddenly at the sound of her name. It flowed unpleasantly from the mouth of Wolfbane. Her eyes and mouth gaped wipe for a brief moment as he seemed to have almost appeared from the cool breeze that tickled the thick, brown forelock that covered her amethyst eyes.

Just as quickly her mouth closed in a solid, thin line as her brow crinkled in suspicion. Her eyes and ears followed him curiously as he continued to talk. He stopped amongst the soft golden rays of the spring sun, his coat dancing in the broken glimmer. He was and had always been deceptively handsome, she had thought so the first time she saw him and thought so even now.

She could feel her pulse quicken as her eyes darted quickly to the break in trees where she had sent her children off to play and then back to the golden stallion. Her suspicion grew as he finished his greeting. What would he need to talk to her about now, after three years of silence? Her anxiety tried to rear its ugly head, a feeling she had not felt since her return from the quest she had ventured on.

She inhaled slowly as her eyes remained locked on Wolfbane's. A feeling of peace flowed through her body as she forced her heart to slow, the feeling seemed in a way to seep gracefully through her body, spilling into her immediate surroundings. Yes, fancy me being here for you to find.. Wolfbane. he voice was soft, quiet and velvety, a reflection of who she was, but didn't carry with it the normal quiver of anxiety this time. And what would you like to talk about? Has something happened? she was concerned, this was true, as to why this man - a man that had not taken a notice to her.. well ever - suddenly wanted to talk.
forget me not; but never remember
    Lethy

    @[Wolfbane] I am intrigued (:
