It was Alchemy to sing your freedom song to me
She had watched the horror of blood and the end of the life that had birthed her. Why was that so necessary? She couldn’t understand. She wasn’t anything special. Just wandering around the cove alone and undesired by any. At least they didn’t pick on her. Not even the twins paid any attention to her. And yet she looked exactly like they did. Why this was no one could tell her. They all saw it was commonplace.
So commonplace of her to wander about completely invisible no special powers, not even special coloring. She was just one of the lot. Something to fill out the numbers. She did learn fast that being ignored was not the worst lot. She could be deformed, she could have had something so wrong with her that they would beat up on her. At least she wasn’t the subject of their sick torturous games.
Then she spots the bay filly, torturing no one but the air. Kicking about and doing stupid stuff that she knew nothing of. Standing in the grassy field nearby she watches for a minute. This was strange was the filly crazy? whatcha doing? She calls to the foal when she is within hearing. This one must be one of their game subjects. She looked crazy, not only that but there was no special coloring and as far as she could tell, the filly had no special powers either. But maybe she was special and Kaide couldn’t’ see that as of yet.
She would just have to watch some more. Maybe she could develop a friend. But getting hopes up was dangerous if not stupid in some cases.
