    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

A young stallion walked into the field, his eyes were searching for someone, anyone to be with. Letting out a nicker, he waited to see what would come. No one knew his true color, he was said to be a sorrel appaloosa, a chestnut appaloosa or a red roan appaloosa, but he didn't care about color. He cared about what was on the inside of a horse not the out side.

He had not forgotten the blonde mare, and today as he wanders the Field he is intrigued to find her again. Njenyi had thought she'd end up with the other stallion - Ryde - that he had seen his own Pot of Cream with, but it appears that the other stallion had not taken the golden (literally) opportunity in front of him.

Knowing that mares tend to get along best with others they've grown up with, the spotted stallion does not hesitate. He canters toward the yellow mare, and after glancing about for competition, begins to nudge her toward the Gemstone Ridge. there is another stallion nearby, but h has made no move towards this mare, and so Njenyi ignores him. Once they are out of the main part of the Field, perhaps she can be persuaded to bear him his third foal of the season.
