    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    What... Happened?

To his relief they both agreed now was the time to descend from the mountain. Raxa found a pathway and Jedi moved towards her but stopped when Sunfall noted a cut on her legs. He turned to look over her body, ashamed that he didn’t notice on his own. Does it hurt he asked outloud but Sunfall already moved on to the path Raxa found.

His was full of anxiety, one slip up and a huge brawl could break out between the trio, he just silently followed behind the mares. Raxa and Sunfall were working together, discussing the descend and ensuring each other’s safety. It was lovely to see and he could only hope that they remain friendly with each other once they find out he is fathering both there foals.

It took what felt like forever to reach the bottom of the mountain, Sunfall and Raxa were both strong beyond words. He could not believe how strong they were, both pregnant and able to make the trip down the mountain, he was just glad everyone made it down safely. should we head to the forest? See if any Falls members are around? he spoke towards the both but stationed his body beside Sunfall.

Raxa was not relieved enough when the trio of horses finally reached the bottom. Though she would never admit it out loud, the mare was not a fan of heights. Not since that day when those big cats chased her yearling self up a large ridge and she got trapped for a number of hours, nearly plummeting to her death several times until she was rescued.

So, when they reached the bottom, the mare let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding in, a sense of relief flooding her body. Jedi, it seemed, wanted to get right down to business, and the brindled mare couldn't agree more. Looking to the stallion, she noticed how he was standing beside Sunfall, but Raxa didn't have anything against it. Sunfall didn't have the same capacity as she did to remain calm in situations like that. More than likely, Jedi was helping her keep calm so that her anxiety wouldn't cause her to do anything dangerous that could hurt the foal inside her.

Raxa nodded in agreement, "Probably our best option. If I know Kreios, if he's gathering the Falls members, he won't want to have them rest out in the open; too exposed, too dangerous, whether horses or predators are in the area. He'll want to find somewhere secluded, someplace safe, where they'll have time to respond to signs of warning. More than likely, they're at some glen of sorts within the forest; we just need to find them."

Raxa turned to look at Sunfall, "You okay to keep going?" she asked, though the brindled herself was rather tired too, considering she was in the same condition.

Looking at Jedi once they got to the bottom, she decided to answer him honestly. "A bit. It should heal well enough, as long as I don't get in a fight and worsen it." She states, nuzzling him slightly. She then remembered that Raxa was also due. But.. By who? The question rang through her head and it was painful to wonder.. But she would want to know, if her suspicions ended up being correct. She can see her title after the foals are born - Blazing Sunfall, the greedy mare who tricked Jedi into having foals with two mares.. Blazing Sunfall, the surrogate mother - and stepped away from him. She started forward, nodding once at Raxa to signal she is good to keep moving; the sun was starting to set.
