    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Maribel

    She needs him.

A call is cast across their home, strewn like a fistful of tiny bells as blue yes seek the dark form of her love. The small forms of Arete and Alivia playing are not far off as Maribel looks for Romek. Her husband was a busy man, a wonderful man, as he provided for her and the herd. "Romek, my love?" She knew the dark male would find her easily enough but for now her attention is returned to the twins as they playfully tugged and tumbled against one another.

And when she laughs you'll always take notice.
'Cause her heart's charm will shine right through it all.

i'm sorry it's short. i am a disaster at starters but mari wants rom time <3 aslo feel free to post Ret too!

fuck all your dreams; they're not all they seem.
The gods have been kind, and they have given back what is his, by birthright, by blood.

Lilitha would’ve been disappointed with him. He begged, of course he begged, everyone begged. Beqanna had risen from its slumber, and taken everything that they had held dear, everything they had held close… She had made beggars of them all – homeless, hopeless, forgotten. Perhaps once he would’ve placed his pride above all else and refused to bend a knee, but he has his family now, young daughters, and Maribel, and others – horses who he has a duty to protect, and to provide for.

It is his name that he hears in his striped ears, and he shifts back into his equine form seamlessly, slipping the skin as if he had been doing it all his life. He does not want to cause any alarm for his white and gold wife, who doubtless has countless other things to worry about besides a mystery tiger in the woods.

”Maribel,” he says, with a slight smile, reaching down to bump noses with the twins before directing his attention towards her once again. ”We have a lot to talk about.” he nods. Perhaps he had been in the woods for weeks too long. It is spring now, and life has certainly sprung.

”What happened?” he asks, because where better to begin than from the beginning?
