He had definitely shut down when Voudou had spoken to him with such a harsh tone. It wasn’t like him to be so apathetic, but he was tired of being beat down by the stubborn mare. As Voudou did her best to pull free Jason simply watched. He could tell that she was uncomfortable as soon as she tried to bare weight on her dirt-covered hooves, but it didn’t quite all register until Fiasko exclaimed that Voudou was hurt. The emotions that he had been protectively pushing back busted forth through his barricade and began to flood his mind. He could barely focus now with expert concern spread across his face. Jason stepped forward with Fiasko and looked down toward the injured appendage. Fiasko asked the right question, and he eagerly held onto Voudou’s response. Surely her leg could not be broken- that would not be good. Jason knew that he may have the ability to heal it, but with little experience he didn’t want his magic to go wayward and make the injury worse. Voudou didn’t seem phased by the leg or at least she didn’t let onto unmanageable pain. Voudou asked about a place to nap, and a part of Jason found himself relieved that the mare could escape the Gates like she had previously planned. Perhaps the injury could keep her in his home long enough for him to repair their relationship. ”A cave nearby?” Jason repeated Fiasko’s plans out loud. ”I think I can help get her there.” Jason didn’t know about healing, but he could at least translocate Voudou. He had teleported before with his son who had been born with such a gift.
