    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Sweetest tongue has sharpest tooth (Jinju, Ruan, Any)
    #11
    Jinju
A small smile lies upon her lips as she meets Ruan’s blue gaze, nodding slightly to acknowledge his words. She would gladly take the offer and to make that clear she presses herself tighter against his black and white side. With so many other horses around she would feel exposed, but from underneath Ruan’s wings she could hide herself, just like she had always done in the Jungle.

It is Reagan’s appearance that have her slightly brake away from his side, but only for a short moment to greet her aunt. Jinju whinnies softly, ear perked forward and with a small smile upon her dark lips. Their last meeting had been a while ago already. The ruby eyed child was eager to get some acknowledgement from the one that was as a mother to her. To put it differently, the inky black girl needed it, as she couldn’t help but to fear that Reagan was no longer interested in her.

With that done Jinju finds herself at Ruan’s side again, her muzzle against his shoulder. She listens to the spoken words, to their conversations, but does not mingle. Neither uncle Ruan or aunt Reagan did, so why should she? Aside from that, it simply was too busy for her and she didn’t really want to attract attention to herself. However, she clearly hadn’t done a good job at that. As the first one is done introducing herself – Jinju had peeked out to curiously look at her – her gaze moves to the second one, but only to directly meet the red girl’s green gaze.

Green, just like aunt Reagan’s, but these eyes are different and although they don’t seem unfriendly, Jinju doesn’t really know how to read their intentions. When Ruan’s wing moves a bit her first reaction is to push herself even more against him, only relaxing when realising that he was encouraging her, but not forcing. With a few hesitant steps Jinju moves forward, ruby eyes meeting green ones. The smile upon her lips is shy, but not less genuine. ”I.. I’m Jinju” she introduces herself. A deep breath and a mental push is what she needs to move even further forward, but never moving too far away from her caretakers. She glances back at them both, as to seek for support and confirmation, before she looks at Rae again.

”I could.. if you like.. maybe show you to a little stream?” Her question was clearly directed to the youngest only, having heard her say that she wanted to drink and to stay for a short while. It would give her a perfect opportunity to get away from this busy gathering, spending time alone with someone of her one age was far less intimidating that around all the adults. And her uncle or aunt, or maybe both of them, wouldn’t be far way anyway.
