She’s pure, untouched. Innocent in heart and mind. Oblivious to any ill intentions. And able to do something morally wrong if someone would ask her sweetly, or convinced her it would be the right thing to do. Perhaps she could even been mould into something, someone she was not by nature. Jia had yet to discover how cruel life could be.
What she does know, is that she does not like his tone. It contrasts him and that’s most surprising. She had watched him approach, her dished head tilting lightly as her ears stood forward. Jia had not known what to expect or what she could have expected. Another child, an adult, all were the same. But those words, no more the bashing way he says them, they get to her.
”I’m not crying” she answers, almost defiantly as he puffed out her chest and holds her head high and proud. Though the distressed state had not yet worn off. But maybe he was the one that had been missing. He was tiny just like her, his muzzle black and legs dark, though towards the center of his body his coat colored to a darkish brown.
