    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Need A Little Madness In Your Life?
    #11
Eager to explore, Iona wordlessly followed after the spotted mare, her eyes greedily taking in the sights of everything around her. The rolling green hills stretched as far as the eye could see, and beyond, the blue sky cloudless and beautiful as the two mares journeyed to see the sights.

They continued on in mostly silence, brought forth mostly by the chocolate flaxen mare. She wanted things to remain silent; she wanted peace and quiet while she got a good look at the land. If Crota tried to engage her in conversation, she would either ignore the mare completely or offer a one-word response to anything she asked. She wasn't doing this out of rudeness or the need to be rude toward the mare; Iona just wanted some quiet while she got a lay of the land. She absorbed things better when it was quiet.

After traveling for a while, the two mares came across some plants Iona had not really ever seen. They brought back some faint memories of a kingdom she'd once gone to for a home; perhaps these plants had also been in the Desert, a kingdom that existed before the Reckoning? She didn't know for certain, but had a nagging feeling nonetheless.

Crota spoke on about how it was unusual yet nice for the two different plants to be growing so close together, in near the same place. She didn't have much to say to that, only thinking it wasn't that unusual or special. Sure, the two plants may be water-hardy, not needing much to survive, but she'd seen other plants grow where it wasn't exactly common, so she wasn't surprised or anything.

So, instead, she spoke up, "Yes indeed it is nice. They are very pretty plants and will have a nice home here," she noted, trotting past the two plants to continue exploring the kingdom.
