    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

She should be afraid, quite terrified actually, but she isn’t. The weird thing is, is that she knows she should be. But even that thought doesn’t spook her. It’s actually pretty nice, except for the part of not being able to move. Kylin would have to admit that the view was pretty and the salty sea wind that toyed with her mane and tail felt nice too. It was all just a little… strange.

Her gaze is a little off, to the right as that was the direction Ivar had bend her in. She’s still looking at the beach though, quite fascinated by what she was seeing actually. Especially now she felt quite at ease with the whole situation. And the sight was one to behold.

The sand was moving, first ever so slightly, but slowly getting more visible. If she would’ve been able to, Kylin would’ve tilted her head at the sight. Nothing yet to see, but the first promise of what would soon be seen was there. But then: ”Walk to the shore”, together with a brief touch upon her shoulder. And she does, without questioning it either.

The beach isn’t far away, just a couple of steps and Kylin stands on the shore. For a moment she stands still, fulfilling the task he had consciously given her. She gasps, body shaking now that’s she’s free. Free of the spell that had kept her frozen, free of the enthusiasm and desire that had previously coursed through her veins and no longer without fear either.

She spins around, kicking the sand around them, to face him. ”What happened?” she asks, voice trembling and ears flicking back and forth. She assumes Ivar does know, after all, he had told her to walk to the beach and that had been her clue of release. She’s scared, confused, pretty upset too.

”Did.. did you..?” Kylin doesn’t know what to ask, not knowing what it exactly was that had happened to her. She needs him to assure her, tell her that he wasn’t to blame, but that he would keep her safe. That she was safe.
