    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Beqanna had changed since he could last remember. He had stayed tucked away beneath the dark sooty lashes of her eyes, watch the stars in his dreams. his father had burned away, becoming a constellation of Beqanna's history. His mother had loved he and Sebastion till her heart had burst. Camlin missed them all deeply.

He emerges on the damp soil of the river, the black nails digging into the ground under his weight. It felt good to feel it give under his jagged nail. The small hairs that plagued him drew int he moisture to dampen his feet as the dark hair knotted and tangled against the pale green of his eyes. He stands quiet, small curls of winter frost clinging to the warm exhalation of breath. His cherry and white coat is longer, shaggy and warm in the cold.

The eerie color of his eyes float against the darkness of his man, watching the small clusters of horses that remained exposed to the cold of winter. Camlin snorts as she allows the chill to sink into his bones, drawing away from this new society, wishing he had someone to guide him. Beqanna had changed in his hiatus. He does not care for this all. A simple man remains among the outcrop of glittering and golden bodies. He does not dismiss this all but simply draws away to dip is dark lips into the frigid waters at his feet. The cold burns his dry throat, his eyes wincing in reaction to it all. The son of Oak and Hanyou returns to fulfill his place in Beqanna.
