    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    a ghost in the darkness.
Perhaps it was overdue, to find the stallion that had once been King before him. He had been avoiding the wraith which was not surprising. It probably wasn’t easy for Ruan to see his home twisted and have it fall from his grasp. There’s no sense of empathy from the red eyed stallion, but he can grasp the concept of the loss. Gryffen had risen and flourished in several different lifetimes of the Chamber. Some ended, changed, were lost. It happened, such was life.

How many rulers had he watched and learned from? It was simply time to have his own and Taiga was so familiar, as if the remains of the Chamber may still lurk beneath it’s soil. Of course he had to have it.

He knows that his captive will never see his vision, will never understand it. Won’t accept. The faults of a proud ruler, he will have to make sure to never make the same mistakes. Slinking through the tall sky scraping trees, he seeks the former pack leader. There had been several ideas that had played in his head since Taiga had passed hands on what to do with Ruan. Most involved torture merely for his own amusement but now he wanted to lay eyes on him first. See what the fuss was about. The stubborn former members were obviously still loyal to him, he wants to see why.

”It’s about time we talked don’t you think?”
