    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Andras

    Years.....
It has been years since Andras has been has been in Beqanna.

Why did he leave? He asked himself the same question, he left behind his beautiful Gyps. She never left him, so why did he leave her? And Porcia, young innocent Porcia who had no idea of the world around her, abandoned by her father.

He shook his head, removing the thoughts, trying to remove the images he played of the disappointment Gyps and Porcia must have felt. The night was misty, and the cool fog stroked his pelt in the nights breeze. The meadow seemed so familiar, yet at the same time it was a distant memory, did the magical lands of Beqanna remember him?

A small whinny escaped his maw in an attempt to reach out to others; thats usually how they striked up conversations in the lands. Although there was only two horses he seeked a conversation with, his beautiful blue bride, had she moved on? A new partner? More children? Was she even in Beqanna still? The better question was, would she forgive him for leaving?

The light that shines so bright.

It had indeed been years. Beqanna had changed once again and its habitants with it. Taiga was still there, but not habitable any longer. And Gyps? Well, she had aged a couple of years, perhaps gotten a little wiser too, but had yet to lose her playful side. Or most of it at least. But the biggest change was the horn that now sprung from the center of her forhead.

What hadn’t changed were her feelings. Oh yes, she was angry and upset and even more angry, but well yeah, who wouldn’t be in her position? Perhaps she shouldn’t have come this eagerly after his call, perhaps she should have him wait a little to think. But her longing was just too strong. After all, it had been years since they had last seen each other.

She pauses, exposed in the middle of the meadow, only to watch him. A soft breeze pulls gently on her navy blue mane and sky blue tail, it even makes the bluish feathers of her wings ruffle. Her coat still velvety black is thick to keep her warm in the mid of the snow. Blue eyes take in the form of her horned lover, not sure if she should smile or scream at him.

”Andras…” her voice is a soft whisper, but the wind carries the sound towards the bay roan spotted stallion. Eventually the smile wins, though its only small. She doesn’t rush over towards him, still studying him and waiting to see what he would do or say. Would he apologize? Would he promise to never leave? Would he ask about Porcia?

    Porcia… Even Gyps didn’t know.

He left without a word and she still returned to him.

Her scent drew strong, and her blue mane shimmered in the beaming moon light. She stood paces away, she was different. He broke her heart and she was scared he would do it again. She spoke his name, oh her angelic voice, he missed everything about her.

I'm so sorry he wanted to run away, he was ashamed of himself for leaving the family they just started. He closed the gap between them, slowly extending his neck out he gently nuzzles her neck. She smelled so sweet, like a spring morning when the flowers are still new  I love you

The words slipped from his mouth, he has been gone for years, he doesn't even know if she moved on. She could have a new life that did not have room for him. Or maybe she waited for him, maybe they are true soul mates and no one could top the love they shared.

So much time has passed but his heart still beat for Gyps, he did not love anyone aside from her. The past few years he did not see another, he does not have an explanation for why he left, or why he did not come back. Ever since the lands changed Beqanna did not feel like home, he just left. But he knew he had to come back, Gyps was his everything, how could he ever have left her.

The light that shines so bright.

Her own hesitance pains her, but she knows that the pain when he would disappear again would crush her. She had trusted him to have her back, he had saved her from his father after all. As runaways they had ended up in the ‘new’ Beqanna, and settled down to start their family. And that family had been ripped away from her. Just like Gyps’ parents had once abandoned her.

For a moment she’s afraid that he would walk away, thus when he comes closer a held breath escapes past her black and pink lips. ”Andras” she repeats softly, shuddering as his muzzle touches her neck. Gyps’ eyes are closed by now, but it doesn’t stop her from taking a step closer, reaching out to touch his shoulder. His confession makes her drawn in a sharp breath, and with a few quick steps back she’s able to look at him.

Her blue eyes study Andras, head slightly tilted, the horn now sprouted from her head moving too. Her heart ached and tears started to well up in her eyes. Of course she still loved him, but Gyps was also upset with him. ”Do you?” she asks softly, almost flinching because of her own question. She doesn’t mean to question him or his feelings, she answered them in fact. ”You.. you’ll stay?”

To her home could be wherever they wanted, because those around her made her home, not the actual place itself. She’d been born in Golden Plains, then imprisoned in Archam’s herd. For a short while she’d called Taiga home, but it hadn’t lasted. Taiga was gone now too.

Gyps takes a step forward now, the tears rolling down her cheeks as she extends her neck to offer him her nose. She’s desperate to feel the velvet of Andras’ nose against hers, to exchange scents and just relish herself in the fact that he was back. ”Please.. please stay” she begs him, her voice trembling and starting to break down.

OOC: No worries. I'm glad you're back! <3
In case it wasn't clear yet, Gyps now has a horn too, she won it in the raffle ^^.

To his relief she was mad, but not mad enough to push him away. She still loved him, she still wanted his touch, and he wanted hers.

She spoke his name, his heart hurt because the pain he caused her was in her tone. He wanted to take away all of her pain that she felt due to him. She asked if he would stay, not once but twice, and in that moment he released a gentle breath of air. The breath he held, fearing she would reject him.

He was so taken away from there meeting that he did not notice the new horn sprouted from her head, his eyes widened. It was beautiful and sparkled similar to his own, he gently reached out his neck to investigate her horn It is a lovely addition he rubbed his cheek against hers. Of course I will stay, I never want to be away from you again the words he spoke were true. He wanted to live every moment with her like he promised once before. He wanted more children with her, children that they could raise together this time, unlike there poor Porcia.

He wanted to ask about darling Porcia, but he did not want to ruin this moment. Instead he stayed silent, taking in the aroma of her, the feelings he felt being back in Beqanna.

What is Beqanna like now? Where do you live? he asks curious if she was a loner or if she had found a herd of equines to live with. Was there kingdoms again, or was it exactly like when he left. Clearly the powers of Beqanna were restore, his pearly horn had appeared once again.

Oh yes, she’s angry. Very much too, but there is more than that. Love is there definitely, just as the longing to touch him and be with him. After all, Andras was what she would call her soul mate.

But, like always, both parties are to blame. The birth of their daughter had caused something to shift in Gyps. She had grown protective of the girl beyond what was normal, her own parents were to blame for that. But like that, the blue and black girl was the only one to blame for driving Andras away from her.

He should’ve fought, but she should’ve trusted him.

The moment he touches her horn, so similar to his and yet so different, a shiver is send down her spine. It flusters her, and at the same time makes her smile. Gyps doesn’t need words to reply, or to express herself, instead she kisses his cheek and affectionately rubs her cheek against his in return. ”Thank you” she murmurs. Not referring to anything in particular and yet everything at once.

His question has her blue gaze travel around. Even though time had passed and she lived here, this wasn’t the Beqanna Gyps knew. She was as much stranger in this place as Andras was. ”Nowhere and everywhere really. The meadow, forest, river, wherever my legs carried me. Lands have come and gone, some disappeared completely and other no longer habitable, like the Taiga.” Her answer wouldn’t be of much help, simply because she doesn’t know exactly.

And that wasn’t important now. Sooner or later they would find a home again, but for now, home would be where Andras was. And the winged mare is much more interested in his story. ”Where have you been?”
