    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

“No,” Djinni replies, “but her family has lived – and ruled – in the Amazons for generations. I am sure she would be able to help you. ”

“Very talented.” agrees the pale mare, echoing Reshi’s accurate assessment of the Iron Queen. “She is a truly impressive warrior,” adds the winged mare “and a remarkable queen.” Djinni is rather proud of Nayl, after all. There’s no reason to not sing her praises.

“The name Scorch sounds familiar even to me,” says Djinni, tilting her antlered head in a circle as though to release a crick in her neck. She is the picture of ease as she continues: “I’m sure Nayl will be able to help you. Shall I take you to her?” She gestures down the length of the beach, where she is sure they will come across the tobiano queen soon.
