    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Her body is wheat dotted and splashed with ivory, her eyes a crystalline pool swirling with flecks of gold. She holds the confident stance of the desert horse and the proud bodice of long-standing lines in speed. Her body is built for the running she loves, she is a lean machine. Often she forces her legs to eat up the ground beneath her, unlikely was she to break a sweat or stop gasping for air. Her mind raced with her next destination.

fuck it. She was just going to run.

Her journey brought the pale doe to the field, emerald grasses reaching to lightly brush her undercarriage. She stands with her head to the autumn sun, blue orbs sliding shut to revel in the star's warmth. She is bathed momentarily in a wash of light, what little cream color she had bleached white by the sheer intensity of the glow.

Her pale lips pull into a soft smile, a sigh escaping her throat. Autumn truly was a wonderful time, the earth shifted into a beautiful array of oranges, reds, and soft golden tones that blanketed the earth lovingly. The air was no longer unbearably hot or too bone-shakingly cold. It was simply just right.

She decides quickly to stay in the meadow for a bit of time. Not long, just a few days possibly. It was such a lovely place to Faible. The grass was still green (despite the season) the air smelled of honey and pine, and the sun never seemed to be glossed over with clouds. The land she stood upon seemed permanently frozen in the good times. She could certainly dig that.

    Zephyr

Her new vision allows her to see from very, very far away. While she is still exploring all of its characteristics, she finds herself watching the other equines of Beqanna with a growing interest. She had never seen such beautiful faces before, each of them unique in their own special ways.

Which brings her to the meadow, a place previously avoided for safety reasons. She can now explore the world around her - some days, she feels like a child, taking in her surroundings with joyfully. Other days, she is confined to her own mind, the hauntings of Carnage's lair ever-lingering and paralyzing.

Today was not one of those days. Upon arrival of the meadow, she had picked out a rather gorgeous female to observe. Her wheat-splashed bodice danced in the midday autumn sunlight, and Zephyr stays afar to watch her run. When the mare stops, Zephyr decides to come over, smiling gently.

    "Hello."

Faible found peace in the quiet hum of the universe, the low buzz of the world around her pulling her into thought. She does not see the ivory mare approach, and when she is called to she nearly jumps out of her skin.  The voice is soft like water over the river bed. Her curved face turns to the voice, sapphire eyes roaming over the milk eyed doe before her.

    "Hello,"

She replies, her voice beckoning the mare closer. Faible peered at the visitor, curious as to whom she was.

"I am Faible and you are?"

She questions, turning to face the woman. It wasn't hard to tell where she had come from (The ever-present scent of flame and smoke giving it away as Tephra). While Faible had never been to the elusive land she became curious, pale eyes widening in wonder.

((This is really short sorry! Im still trying to get my feel for this lady back! <333))

"Zephyr." Is all the alabaster mare can manage to get out. It had only been a few short months since she gained this wonderful ability, and everything still seems so new to her. If she looks hard enough, she can see how the individual hair on the mare's skin moves in the wind. If she hears a bird call in the distance, by god the minute she turns her head she is seeing that very same bird floating in the air. It completely fascinated her, this new gift Carnage had given her.

So much so, that she doesn't realize she is staring, quite wide eyed, at Faible. She laughs nervously, then swallows, allowing herself to look back to the mare's hues. "I was wandering...I came from Tephra."

     "Well met Zephyr."

Faible smiles a wistful smile, not bothered by the staring mare. The woman before her had a kind sort of air about her that set Faible at ease, her leg cocking in a lazy motion. Her pale gaze fell upon the milky eyes of her companion once more.

    She was correct. Tephra.

"A beautiful home indeed... Anyhow, where are you off too next? Or are you off at all?"

The questions slip through her lips like summer rain as she watches @[Zephyr], azure hues trained on the others.

"You may stay here if you like, Im always in need of a bit of company."

She allows the smile to grow, ears perked as she awaits an answer.
