    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Who cares if hell awaits?
We're having drinks at heaven's gate.

She had been a daughter, a mother, a sister, a queen. But it all seemed to slip away like silver bangles around a slender wrist. She has washed away her sins and replaced them with a soft smille. Maribel had not seen her father in sometime and she knows he could be angry but she is not afraid anymore. She must make amends now that Romek was gone.

The white mare moves over the land upon her gold stocking limbs. Bright blue eyes are wide and smiling as she can not be held back by the disaster that had happened at the Reckoning. If Offspring was still cross with her then she must face him.

Mari contemplates with each hoof step of her past with Romek. The butterflies flutter in her belly as she grows uncertain of her father's reaction to her return but she can not bear another year away from the only family she ever had. She trembles gently under the winter's sky when she finally finds a place at the edge of Tephra to call for him. "Dad?" Her voice is meek and threatens to disappear with the soft catch of wind. She hesitates...wanting to run but she presses on instead as she looks for the familiar dark figure, her slender form walking in near silence as she enters the embrace of Tephra.
