    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Quand on n'a que l'amour - Levi
    #11

His words make her chuckle and the splash of water send in her way is answered with one in return. More steam rises from his crest, making him indeed look like an ash ejaculating volcano. ”You mean a smouldering one, you’re nowhere near erupting” she teases him back after shaking the droplets from her head.

For a brief moment the velvet of her muzzle brushes over his shoulder. Her dark eyes find his mismatched ones and although she’d been teasing, the smile that rests upon her lip is a warm one. Amorette feels comfortable in his presence and it’s actually nice to talk to him again, only realising now how lonely her time on the volcano had been.

”Oh hush, you know I didn’t mean it like that” she banters light-hearted. Maybe not the most thoughtful thing to say, but he had been Levi before being a prince, and it was Levi who she’d referred to. But just to be sure, Amore presses her nose against his shoulder as silent assurance. Her next words – about girls thinking of him like their perfect prince – are swallowed back by his words.

For a moment she just blinks up at him, taken aback by what Levi says and does. They’re no strangers when it came to teasing one another, but never had their word play gone in that direction. Or hadn’t he been teasing her? There is no hint of a smile on his lips and the way his muzzle brushes against her skin wasn’t like something that had happened before. Amorette simply doesn’t know how to interpret this.

She glances away, flustered, and her ears flick back and forth while she peeks at him out of the corner of her eye. ”That is nobody’s business but ours.” That seemed pretty in the middle, and it’s the truth too. It is not like she wouldn’t care about the opinion of others, because Amore would, but there was no way that she would give up her friendship with Levi for anybody.
