    New Updates from Google Doc Voting

    This is the beginning of the updates from the google doc voting. As always, please let us know if you have any questions. 

    Officials Account
    The majority vote was to keep the account but have owners/officers sign off when replying. We've been doing this, and will keep doing this so you know who's on the other side of the screen.

    Battle stats 
    We will be removing battle stats entirely. Though the google doc voted to make them optional, we think this makes them simply more complicated and doesn't solve their intended purpose (to give you a reason to fight for experience, to account for traits, etc.). We'll be removing them and potentially looking at a new way to revamp the system in the future (we'll solicit more feedback if we do!). 

    Immortality
    Immortality is now a zero space trait. If this affects your genetic code, please feel free to post in updates to have it fixed, or shoot us a PM with any questions you may have. 

    Champions
    You will now see the updated rule in the guide: "The Champion is automatically the General or highest ranking official if no other champion is selected before the challenge".

    Kyra will be re-coding the main land boards to include a champion space - the champion must be listed there or the champion will default to the highest ranking official/General. Give her a few days to a week, but keep an eye out for the change.

    TEG
    The majority vote was to keep TEG as is, so we won't be making any changes to the current system. The TEG trait system will continue to be an optional thing for you to participate in. 

    NPC Account
    We will be adding an NPC account that players can use. The NPC account can be used for the following purposes: 
    1) To have a random event in a land that is non-magical, such as a flood. These events are entirely optional for players to participate in or not. You may only post events in a land that your character currently lives in. 
    2) To post back and forth with a non-character (cannot be used as a magical entity). For example, if you want to play out having your character be chased by a bear, you or another player can use the NPC account to play the bear, giving you a more dynamic roleplaying experience. 

    Public Plot Approval
    There is now a sub-forum for public plot approval. You can post on the board or you can PM Officials or an owner/officer for plot/trait approvals using whichever method you prefer. 

    Magic
    We are going to start making magic available now and again. However, we will be revamping all magic to be based on a specific element/item (i.e. Fire Magic, Raven Magic, Blood Magic, etc.). Magic is still a powerful trait, but we are doing this in order to give it some limitations as well to keep traits a little more equal within their space categories. 

    Each type of magic will be listed out in the database with it's own unique weaknesses. For instance, fire magic would be inherently weak to water magic and other water-based powers. Raven Magic would be inherently weak against predators, storms, and other weakness of ravens in the natural world and therefore those traits that relate to these things (i.e. storm creation).

    If you have a character with magic, please post in Updates with what you'd like you version of magic to be and we will update the database with the description and the weaknesses. If you have questions about what that might look like, please PM us.

    Update based on the changes to magic The trait Magic Mimicry and Magic Immunity will now be called Trait Mimicry and Trait Immunity. There's no change to what these traits can do, just a name change to make it clear they apply to all traits and not just traits with the name magic in them.

    If this affects your character, please post in updates to have the database updated!
