    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

She was wandering again. The Field had provided the options she wanted and yet something in her still tugged. More than once she had sworn she wasn’t her mother, she had no interest in the world her mother had brought her into and yet the long ago ravaged Jungle had still somewhat managed to worm its way into her soul. Once she thought the heavy air, the trees dripping with vines, the overpowering scent of females was suffocating. Now, she almost yearned for it. Or maybe she just missed her mom.

Doing her best to shake of the feeling of something missing she continued her trek through the Meadow only to find herself traveling into the shadows of a massive forest. It reminded her a little of the Jungle, the large trees blotting out the sun leaving the wanderer mostly in shadow. She was okay with shadows right now. Despite her best effort to live in the sun, sometimes her soul just craved something a little darker.

She sighed and let her hooves continue to carry her onward. Would she ever feel like she fit in anywhere? Or was she doomed to this restless feeling forever? No, she thought to herself. She would explore Tephra a little and then make her way to Loess then she would settle. She would make it work in one of those places. Surely she could.
