    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Who am I, Who are we? [Deiti]
    #1

She missed her sister, that much she knew was true. Searching for yourself only goes so far, when the one person who always knew you best wasn't there to help you through. Cold winter days turned into freezing nights. Shivering and wishing for the comfort of Deiti. It was finally starting to warm up, but what was the use? There was no one to share the happiness of spring with.

When she had left Loess, she hadn't thought it would take such a toll on her mentally. She hadn't thought about how different everything would be without her family, how unforgiving the world was. She wished for her little slice of the world, but she was so far away now...what if they weren't there when she came back?

She finds herself crying today. Sobbing, really. Hidden beneath the dense underbrush of the forest, the golden girl finds herself utterly broken. She wished Deiti would've just...came with her instead of staying with Mom and Dad. Then they could've found adventure together, then Embark wouldn't be so alone.

A spring storm brews on the horizon, and Embark sighs, lifting herself up with the last her strength could muster. Time to find shelter, time to leave the forest...but she just wished her sister was there with her.
