    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Anninux

Anninux was uncertain as she parted with her new companions, the thinning mare made her way deeper into the territory, announcing her poisition with a short snort, the mare placidly walked forward, her small hooves englufed in the terrain as she dragged herself along. At least she was still alive, the earlier encounter with the demon was enough to make her move with confidence, the mare shook herself riotously as she made her frame tall and strong, shifting her weight comfortably to her stronger back leg as she waited, she wasn't sure of what she was waiting on, possibly a stranger to come bounding over the hill, or another predator. The mare was once more uncertain as silence bagan to set in, thickening as even the trees stopped making noise, it was uncofortably quiet now. Perhaps she was too quiet and could not be heard earler, and so the mare walked forward to stand atop a small hill, sliding sideways for a moment as she steadied herself, the mare announced herself again and waited, maybe she was supposed to be the one to find others, she wasn't quite sure and so simply stood still in the mud, a slight shiver overpowering her as the cold began to set in.

Anninux had been waiting quite a while, now she was regretting going alone, she wasn't entirely afraid of being isolated, but the fear was there deep down anyway. The mare shuffled herself as she tried to find something to make herself busy, Anninux moved languidly to a sensuously fresh patch of tall grass, burying her dark head as she began to eat, she had eaten on the way here so she was not overly hungry but also wouldn't mind a small bit, especially if she could share it with someone.
