    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Life was now going to become harder without his mother, for some reason the small colt did not long for her, he did not feel like a lost lamb, but instead felt like he was ready to embrace the world, explore it all for what it was worth, it was a sickening feeling to posses.
The colt did not think of his mother who was most likely in a desperate search for him, the colt dismissed the thought, he was instead thankful for Corban bringing him here and introducing him to Sylva. The small colt began to walk toward water, without his mother he would also need to find something to eat which was usually something she would supply to him. The black figure triumphantly pranced through the colourful forest, his thin legs supporting his coal-black body as he sped through the trees, weaving in and out of the different flora, reaching the water in minutes.

The petite colt now waded into the water, his cracked underside cooling off as his body breached the surface, frail ripples moving along with his body. Once he reached the deep end of the teal pool he halted and sunk his small head beneath the surface, his eyes did not dare open while he was under. The colt began to almost inhale the water, drinking in deep amounts to satisfy his lustful thirst, only stepping out of the water once he was fully satisfied.

The small colt lay beside a large tree, propping his small body against it comfortably. He was so small and insignificant, he had done wrong to remove himself from his mother, launching her into a world of suffering, the colt wondered if he was her first child, he must have been with the way she cared for him, never abandoning his side, so why did he abandon her in the blink of an eye.
Castaneis felt no remorse, he had the strange feeling of not feeling anything at all, the feeling rendering itself as non-existent, the colt only spared a few moments for his mother in his brain, the thought escaping him at the speed of light, he had no care for her anymore, no feeling of love nor hate, he had broken the promise he had sworn to keep. He was a liar and now a creature with no love for his mother.
