    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The cruelness of the world has grow to fester into a seeping boil. Slowly, it turns in rotten and the plafgue oozes from the manifestion of darkness. Karsi grins to herself with a smile that was a little to big, a little too 'cheery' as she sways slowly in the darkness of a cave. The curse of sickness was a promise of a new existence for the frozen-heart mare.

A pale blue leg slowly emerges into the dying sunlight. The moon is hidden beneath a thick cloud, pregnant with autumn rain, threatening the black mare. She pays it no attention as she slips between shadows and mist with nearly soundless movement. Her animation is honed to near perfection, pushing the decaying lraves from her path, raisign the musty smell with the movement but it was more bearable than feeling the squish of damp vegetation under her blue hoof.

Others (either brave or stupid) linger in the dark. The mare eyes them but keeps her distance as she spares them from her unwarranted wrath. On this evening, she is feeling something close to elation, the cold air of an early winter fills her lungs with a luxurious burn. She finds a place to stand, breathing deep, savoring the solitude of a near dark night.

The bay stallion has not visited the forest in quite a while, his time spent wandering the Icicle Isle, looking for odd jobs to do here and there, no particular objective in mind.
Even though the male was settling into life with others in which he did not command, he still felt a lonely shiver pulse through him. The forest reminded him of the Forest Frontiers, something he missed rather dearly, everything suddenly wiped away at the bat of an eyelid.

He huffs loudly as his lifeless body weaves through the trees, the earth below him rumbling in a mellow tone, gripping at his hocks as he begins to trot, not particularly interested in bending the earth for now.
The night is rather cold, the freezing air carrying whispers of nearby horses, a particularly interesting scent finding its way toward the bay man, his ears switched to face forward, now attentive.

Aziz now peers out into the open, the cover of the canopy overgrowth no longer hiding his body in shadow. The male exhales deeply as he steps out into the wet growth of expansive greenery, his head pivoting to notice a mare standing isolated, basking in the moonlight that gently caressed the landscape.
Aziz wasn't particularly one to socialise with others when the occasion arose, but the male was used to the need to do so, his sanity only able to bear enough solidarity for one day.

The bay stallion almost huffs in an annoyed manner as his body moves toward her, his face now adopting a friendly expression, a smile painted across both corners of his muzzle as he approaches her from the side, a smooth and quiet tone breaking through the flicker of grasshoppers and swaying of trees "Hello there" he opens, his eyes focused solely on the mare as he makes himself comfortable, his head veering off to stare at the moon, basking in the light that it now provided, illuminating his bay coat "It is a lovely night to be out here, it's usually quite quiet here. I'm Aziz by the way" Aziz was usually quite quick to get to the point, not particularly one to wait with his introductions, his tone remaining soft as to not startle the mare.
