    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

    "But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    The Brief Return {Titus}
    #1
    She had barely seen Santana since she gave birth to the twins, but it was the life she chose. She watched her children everyday, exactly like her and her brother. One had wings, one didn't, she could only wonder if they would shift into dragons one day.

    Being a mother and alone has given her plenty of time to think about her twin,  and her heart often aches for him. They were bonded for life, and even though they live seperate lives she wants him to meet his niece and nephew.

    She truly did not ever want to return to Loess, but she knew that was the easiest way to find Titus. The journey seemed extra long with two children that she had to continuously steer back on track, but eventually they all made it.

    She stands at the border of Loess, a chill shivers down her spine as the memories of her childhood flood her mind. None the less, she couldn't turn around now. She sends a rather quiet whinny into Loess, hoping that Titus could sense her, that she wouldn't have to speak to anyone else. The pale twins remained snuggly tucked to there mothers hip.

    one day it's here and then it's gone,
    how are you still holding on?
    Living a life lately with nothing to do has sent him flying in all sorts of directions both physically and mentally. He spends his days wandering aimlessly through Loess, but also on the outside of the southern kingdom. The thoughts drift here and there, but he longs for something more. Something that he cannot quite grasp at just yet.

    Titus often thinks back to the past. When the days of his childhood should have been simpler. Were simpler at leas compared to now. There should have been an indication, some sort of direction, that he should be at in his life but there is not. He is simply here and that is that.

    But today seemed different.

    A familiar call, a voice he hasn’t heard in a long time, grabs his attention quickly. His nutmeg eyes dart towards the border of Loess. “Venus?” He asks out loud. It seems too good to be true, but he doesn’t ignore the gut feeling he instantly has when he says her name. Instead he is already making his way to the border at a quick trot. Titus has to see it for himself in order to know if it is truly true that his twin has come to Loess.

    It doesn’t take him long to reach the border. His eyes quickly find the familiar golden champagne mare. A loud call is sent in response back to the mare. Two smaller bodies linger at her hip he realizes as he gets closer to the border. “Venus, is that really you?” He says in talking distance. A smile spreads across his muddy brown lips, reaching ear to ear. His eyes light up with happiness. “So it is!” He laughs loudly, embraces Venus warmly

    But he doesn’t forget about the pale children that are snuggly tucked at his twin sister’s hip. He takes a step back before addressing the two foals. “And it looks like you brought some more company with you.” He lowers his head at the two twins. “Hello there, little ones. I am Titus!” He greets them warmly. “What are your names?” His gaze glances between the two, silently confirming to himself that these are his sister’s own children.
