    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

BETTER BEWARE, I GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT
DEVIL-MAY-CARE WITH A LUST FOR LIFE

It would have been odd to watch the swan paddling slowly through the waters of a rare fresh water pool. The bird suns herself, red eye closed, the occasional movement of her long neck turning her head so she may plush one of the blush tinted feathers and rearrange it so she was flawless. One unseen foot pushing the water slowly, drifting.

Island Resort is an old land full of memories and whispers. Ygritte remembers the days before the Reckoning when it had been a simple herd land. The swan opens her eyes, blinking at the brightness of the sun, yawning sleepily. The blush tinted bird moves towards the sand edge of the water, her body shifting, a bay mare with salmon colored limbs and hair emerges.

Her life in Beqanna has led her through many storms and down many paths. She has known many, loved few, lost most. The mare gives thanks to the gods above they have gifted her with eternal beauty do the lines of her age do not carve tributaries of tears through the flesh of her cheeks (well a single cheek). Begonias bloom in place of where her right eye would have been (it had been lost on a quest) but it causes there to be an eerie beauty about her. Ygritte embraces her differences openly.

A single pink limb presses into the sand and sea grass and she admires the way it gives beneath her hoof. It felt warm and soft. A smile pulls at the small mare's lips as she moves on, anticipating the fun it could be to explore the Resort, wondering who now ruled here...if any.

    winter wonderland

The stallion walks along the edge of the resort, his ivory-coloured legs dipped in the cool water as he marches inward, still unfamiliar with the territory he now called home.
It was rather bizarre to be walking along the golden coast now, a paradisal landscape at his feet. It had all happened rather fast, he was now so far away from the one who usually commanded him, rather afraid and slightly lost.

The step of another through the rough grains of gold catches the stallion's attention, the stallion had only just settled into the warm climates of the island, resting along the coastline with the cool water thrashing against his legs, but it seemed like he had rather inquisitive visitors already.
The stallion slowly makes his way over to the mare, his head curiously titled as he halts nearby "Hello there, I'm Ruinam" he speaks softly, his head returning from a tilt.

Ruinam perks his ears as he smiles "What brings you to the resort?" he asks curiously, almost standing as if on his tiptoes.
He wondered how he should behave in such an encounter, he wasn't used to meeting horses often, especially when he wasn't with his superiors.
Now that he was far from Sylva he would have to make his own decisions rather than rely on their rulers.
He offers a dip in his stature as he moves slightly closer, his companion now joining his side as he sits on the sand, curiously staring at the mare that stood before them, imitating Ruinam's reactions.
