    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Anahera
For not replying, Anahera will speak in Christmas carols (so yes, she’ll be singing) for the next two real life weeks. After that, this will fade away, but in the winter she will always end up singing a few carols in the middle of some various conversations. In the summertime, she will have no problems speaking normally though.

There is a beautiful brief moment in which the Grinch is distracted just long enough by his own human cohorts for the light magic to win. The light magic courses through Weir in waves, slowly pressing back the flood of dark magic until the light consumes everything.

The malicious toys fall to the ground, the demons disappear, the Grinch disappears in a final burst of white light. Arka and Polluck begin to fall, the balcony and earth giving way as if they do not even exist. But Polluck, he’s a clever thing (or maybe just a greedy thing). As the dark piece of the yin yang is ripped from the Grinch’s hands, he uses his one good arm to reach out and snag a piece. Just a tiny, little piece of that dark magic. It is not enough, but it is a start.

A piece of the dark magic crumbles away, falling to Arka. The two disappear through the earth below, as if either the ground is not real or they are not. Eventually, back in Beqanna, they hit the ground and then the world goes black.

Back in the workshop, everything simply goes back to normal. As the light clears, the workshop is righted. The machines are in proper working order, the demons are gone, the elves are healed and healthy (though the ones that were lost in the fight will always remain that way).

Santa puts the two pieces of the yin yang together again, and you can feel the way the world stitches itself whole. It will be okay. Everything will be okay. Physically, at least. But the memories will always be there. Magic cannot heal everything, after all.

Santa reaches out a hand to Weir, pulling him off the ground and dusting off his clothes. “Thank you Weir,” he says. “For everything you have done, I will send you home with a bit of Christmas magic to help you.” He breaks off a slight piece of the light magic and hands it over to Weir, before looking over the balcony to Lirren and Nayl.

“My friends, you have good hearts, and are strong in your own unique ways. Let the light guide you as you go on with your lives.” He casts down a small piece of magic to them as well. And then with a wrinkle of his nose, Weir, Lirren and Nayl are all sent home.

Not to their beds, but to Beqanna. Back to a land where they have four feet and a tail.

When you awake (either from the knock on the head, or from the magic that sent you home), it takes a moment for you to remember where you are. Another moment to realize you have hooves instead of hands and feet.

Had any of it happened? But of course it had. It must have. Because you are not the same. No, you are not the same at all.

All traits are genetic. Please make sure you post an update in the database.

    Polluck
Krampus Physiology: Polluck now has cloven hooves and goat horns. He also has enhanced agility, endurance and speed, as well as the ability to induce fear in others. However, he will always suffer slightly from the injuring that the Grinch inflicted on him. His arm and thigh will be the first pieces of him to tire, despite his enhanced physical condition, and these areas will be more prone to damage.

    Weir
Christmas Entity Mimicry: Weir can now harness some of the magic of Christmas. He is immune to the cold, can induce happiness in others, and manipulate ice/snow. However, you will always be somewhat sensitive to the dark now, given how much light magic has coursed through your body. Your powers fade at night, and though they still work, their effect and range will be short lived and rather small. You will also find that without any light at all, you will always be slightly uncomfortable.

    Nayl
Animation: Nayl now has the ability to give life to inanimate objects, animating them to move on their own accord; however these objects do work in tandem with Nayl. Objects cannot stay animated indefinitely, for each object will be a drain on Nayl’s power the farther away from her they are, and the longer they are alive.

    Lirren
Aura Reading: Lirren now has the power to read the auras of others within 20 feet of her. She will be able to tell generally if their intentions are good or bad, and generally if they are feeling sad, happy, etc.. She will not be able to determine specific details about another horse’s intentions or emotions however. In addition, she will always bear the scars from her quest (the details of the scars are up to you, but they must be visible and at least 5 inches in length). The scars will fade to red and green.

    Arka
Disintegration: Arka now has the ability to disintegrate inanimate objects within 20 feet of him. The larger the object, the less damage he will be able to do. It might take multiple tries to fully disintegrate a larger object (think a fully grown tree for reference), and will tire him out. In addition, he will always bear the scars from his quest (the details of the scars are up to you, but they must be visible and at least 5 inches in length). The scars will fade to red and green.
